Swedish Massage Therapy

Swedish Massage $60 per hour

Massage TherapySwedish massage therapy is the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body.

My Swedish massage has a light to medium pressure with long flowing strokes which is always mixed with Reiki Energy Healing.  Meaning that intuitively I pause and draw energy through my body into an area that is congested or low functioning due to anything from injury, stress, or emotional build up and move this congested energy.  This way I release “knots” in the muscle faster then just applying pressure alone.  Some clients remarked that I released there tension with out excess pressure which usually made them sore the next day. Many clients find my massage so comforting that they fall into a deep state of relaxation or fall asleep completely.  Our fast paced society is very much in need of pressing the pause button.  I suggest a weekly massage!

Benefits of a Swedish Massage:

MassageBy far, the most popular benefit of Swedish Massage is that it is both relaxing and invigorating. It is an excellent way to help rid the body of tension and to achieve a sense of overall well-being.

  • A standard Swedish session lasts for 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 120 minutes and addresses most major muscle groups of the body. The session is performed on a soft massage table, in a professional office environment. A blanket or two is provided for individuals who become cold easily.  Calming music is played in the background.
  • Swedish sessions can target specific areas of pain as with sciatica or a stiff neck.
  • Swedish MassageThe strokes of Swedish massage replicate the movements of the circulatory system. When I perform the strokes toward the heart, the massage drains metabolic waste from the limbs of the body. By using strokes that improve circulation clients can see improvement in cold feet and hands warming and water retension in swollen ankles decreasing.
  • Swedish massage can break up muscle adhesions and help promote the healthy healing of scar tissue. Swedish Massage uses strokes like cross-fiber friction to work out the kinks that can accompany injured muscles. These strokes help get rid of scar tissue and return the muscles to their normal, healthy state.
